Hays LAS, a WallacePancher Group company, was contracted to provide design and construction documents for the Lewis Wetzel Park Pool Renovation in New Martinsville, WV. Set up as a multi-phase project, the plans included renovating the existing pool, constructing a new filter building and replacing the concrete deck.

The new pool was constructed within the footprint of the existing pool and included the addition of a zero-entry area, a stepped entry and a ramp for handicap access. The overall depth was modified to create more useable area for swim and play. A splash play area was incorporated into the zero-entry area and a water walk was installed at the opposite end of the pool. Designated swim lanes were included for recreational use and plumbing was installed for a future water slide.

Also included in the site improvements were perimeter fencing, light standards, infrastructure upgrades and the addition of a family restroom.
