The Indian Run Stream Restoration project involved the planning, design, permitting, and construction management for the relocation and restoration of approximately 5,300 LF of Indian Run within the City of Hermitage. The project was initiated in response to flooding that was occurring in residential areas. WallacePancher Group provided design, permitting, landowner coordination, and construction management services for the project.

Separated into four (4) separate phases, a combined approach of stream relocation and in-place restoration was used. Methods included rock cross vane structures for stability and benthic habitat, new floodplain creation, and native vegetative plantings for stability. Riparian habitat and other in-stream features were used to restore the Indian Run stream corridor to a stable, natural ecosystem.
