Richland Engineering Limited (REL), a WallacePancher Group company, performed traffic analysis and prepared construction contract plans for signalization improvements at eleven (11) intersections in downtown Bellevue, Ohio.
To improve traffic flow, this project included an arterial traffic coordination system with real-time central computer monitoring and emergency preemption.
The plans included construction of traffic signals and improvements to intersection corner radii along USR 20. Also included in the plans was widening of USR 20 from Northwest Street to Lyme Street. Numerous vaults were located beneath the sidewalk that required foundation stabilization and filling to permit construction of the proposed improvements.
